Herta and Thomas are Married!!

Here is a photo taken in the Rathaus (City Hall) where the civil ceremony was held. Outside most of the guests were waiting for the couple to come out and everyone could make a toast to the new couple.

Just minutes before this photo was taken, Herta found out I was here for her wedding. Silke quietly got me in the Rathaus and pretended I called her on her cell phone (they call it a Handy here) she handed the phone to Herta and I talked to her like I was in the US while I snuck up behind her. It was great.

Herta wore red and it was her wedding color. She looked beautiful! The party afterward was also very fun. I wish more weddings in the US were this fun.
