They say it is good for your health to go for a walk, so I did. By the time I got to front of the house next door, I found myself flat on the sidewalk looking at a frozen worm. It seems I slipped and fell on the ice on the sidewalk that was created by my neighbor's sprinkler system for their lawn.
While I got up and stared at the worm I wondered if I should just turn around and go back home. I decided to keep going because I felt luckier than the frozen worm.
At just under 1/2 mile into the walk, a little white dog came running across the street toward me. I saw the dog, but didn't care about the barking because I had my headphones loud enough that it wasn't unpleasant. The problem occurred when I felt a tug at my leg. I pulled my leg away from the dog that had just bit me. Yes, the dog bit me. How lucky was it that I wore my thinker taller socks today? I haven't worn these socks all year!
After slipping and being bit by the dog, I thought again about stopping and going home but I was really starting to feel lucky and a little curious what else would befall me on this walk. What else would try to deter me from continuing this walk? Here I sit at home, now safe and sound in desperate need of a shower having completed my walk.
