Land of Opportunity

I am listening to some music which talks about the US being the land of opportunity. This is very old sentiment I know. While living abroad I learned how hard it can be to create a different life for oneself. I am unsure I would have achieved the success I have if I lived in some of these other 1st world countries.

I think I need to spend more time being thankful for the opportunities I have had. I also need to take advantage of the opportunities provided me instead of sitting back and squandering what is readily available.
