On 1/10/08, Thorin shot a gun for the first time at the Public Safety Training Center in Clackamas county. He shot a Taurus PT945 45 cal. semi automatic handgun. He did an excellent job shooting! The first two shots were in the inner circle of spot #2 just below the center, so impressive!
All shooters need to take a written test before they are allowed to shoot at this range and Thorin got a 100% on the test. I am so proud of how seriously he took this and how well he listened to the instructor Karl who showed us around and showed Thorin how to handle the gun.
Thorin shot about 50 rounds. I say around as some of the rounds ended up on the floor during the instruction part of handling the gun safely and we simply didn't worry about picking them up.
After we finished shooting, we went out to dinner at Red Robin then went back to Thorin's house and cleaned the guns.
